A PARAMEDIC PRAYER:

If I Could Stop One Life From
Ending, Give Me Courage
When I Get involved.
If I Could Stop One Vein From
Bleeding, Let Me Quickly Respond
When Called

If My Brother Should need My
Assistance, Help Me Take Their
Vitals All With Care. And If Ever
There's a "True Emergency",
Please Allow Me To Always
Be There.

When I Treat A Burn Or Fracture
Of A Person Full Of Fear, Make Me Compassionate In My Rescue,
So I Can Deal With Their
Painful Tears.

Give Me Strength When I Extricate A
Victim, From A Traumatic Accident Or
Fall. Give Me Patience And Gentle
Understanding. When I Answer A
Child's Desperate Call.

And If A Heart Should Stop Beating,
Let Me "Pump It" For The Person
Arrested. For If The Good Samaritan
Was Around Today, I Think That's How
He Would Be Tested.

What If You Had A Fire,
And No One Came?
No One to Protect Your Family
From The Awful Smoke And Flames.

What If You Were Hurt in an Auto
Wreck And No One Came?
No One To Remove You From
The Wreckage And There You
Would Remain.

What If You Had A Missing Child,
And No One Came?
No One To Search For Your Loved One In
The Heat, The Cold, The Rain.

What If You Needed Other Help,
And No One Came?
No One To Help In Your Time
Of need,  Now That Would Be A Shame.

But We Won't Let This Happen
And You Can Rest Your Fears,
So When You Go To Bed
Tonight, Thank God for
Volunteers!
